Newsletter Archive

On a monthly basis I send out newsletters to clients and other selected people. If you would like to be added to the distribution list, please email me at sauying@realfoodrealliving.com. In that email, please include a brief description of the health topics that are most interesting to you.

December 2007

This newsletter discusses a different approach to the holidays. Rather than focusing on the things that make us go crazy and force us to rush through what should be the best time of the year, I encourage you to think about what makes you truly happy and to direct your energy to them.

November 2007

This newsletter covers how you can incorporate root vegetables in to your day-to-day cooking. Fall and Winter are the best times of the year to incorporate hearty, healthy vegetables like beets, turnips, radishes and sweet potatoes.

The recipe featured in this newsletter is for Mulligatawny Soup

October 2007

October was a busy month. I released this first newsletter explaining the importance of including the right kinds of fat in our diets. Included in this article was a discussion about the importance of eating types of fish rich in Omega 3 fatty acids. This is true for all people, including nursing or lactating women.

The featured recipe in this newsletter was a unique way of preparing Wild Alaskan Salmon.

Some readers responded with requests for follow-up information. There was a lot of discussion in the media at that time about conflicting advice regarding fish consumption. Some government agencies were openly disagreeing with each other about the safety of fish for pregnant women. I issued this second newsletter in response to all the the requests.

September 2007

This was my first newsletter. The purpose of this newsletter was to welcome my subscribers, and to explain my consulting practice. I also included one of my favorite recipes - Fruit Salad with Pomegranate Molasses. This recipe can be used year round with a variety of foods. Enjoy!
